St. Jude, Brother of the Lord – Oct 28 – Homily – Fr Matthias

 

Fr Matthias gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Oct 28, 2022, feast of Sts. Simon and Jude on what little is known of their lives and how the fact that Jude was "the brother of the Lord" means that he was a cousin of our Lord as can be determined from the Bible. Our Lady gives God the Son her humanity without taking anything away from His divinity. Conversely, he gives her the role of Mother of God and yet does not take away from her virginal state, i.e. her Perpetual Virginity.
