Covetousness is an inordinate desire for things we do not have, and delight in these desires.

related to concupiscence but involves sin since it means some embracing of the forbidden desire and can include taking some action on these desires.

Covetousness is a choice while concupiscence is not.

Need to close the door on impure thoughts to avoid mortal sin, but also must avoid scrupulosity.

3 things are needed against covetousness: Grace, reason, temperance

Joseph did not cave into temptation, thus imprisoned, but was rewarded in the end

Devil is involved, the fall, sometimes not, but always resist
