Judas’ Fall, Lack of Marian Devotion – Apr 12 – Homily – Fr Ignatius

 

Fr Ignatius gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Apr 12, 2022, on how Judas' betrayal of Jesus is related to his rejection of Mary and how this relates to our relationship with Jesus. He bases this on the prophecy of Jesus' coming in the first reading of Isaiah 49:1-6 and the writings of Ven. Mary of Agreda in her Mystical City of God, vol 3, book 2, chapter 5. This rejection is contrasted with Peter who was able to come back to Christ, repenting of his own rejection of Jesus, due to his relationship with Mary and her intercession on his behalf.
