The Life of Bl. Hippolyte Galantini, Confessor, Third Order (1565-1620) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Mar 19. Hippolyte was a prayerful, pious youth, very helpful to his parents who were weavers in Florence, Italy. He wanted to enter religious life but prospects were not high. So he started teaching poor youth and started a confraternity to do so. He had a deep prayer life but also worked at his usual work as a weaver. He also had the gift of miracles.
Reflection is on the importance of pious confraternities.
