How does St. Maximilian's use of obedience connect to the Scotistic foundations? We explore this in Chapter 9 of The Theologian of Auschwitz by Fr. Peter Damian Fehlner with its editor, Dr. J. Isaac Goff.
We do this by looking at an early text of St. Maximilian Kolbe, then by working through texts of St. Maximilian that Fr. Peter Damian Fehlner orders into presenting the Scotistic foundation and structure of the thought of St. Maximilian. Finally, we discuss how and in what way authentic mystical experience can expand the range of knowledge of God beyond normal.
