The Life of St. Colette, Virgin, Second Order (1381-1447) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Feb 7. St. Colette was born in Corbi, France, of poor parents and was very devout. She became a hermit, anchoress, and was very tempted and harassed by the devil. She was then inspired to leave her enclosures and started a reform of the Poor Clares, establishing many new convents and renewing the penitential spirit in the sisters. Many miracles before and after her death.
Reflection is on physical beauty which St. Colette asked God to be taken away as to not be a temptation and instead focused on being beautiful in the eyes of God.
