The Life of Sts. Peter Baptist, Paul Miki S.J. & Comp, Martyrs, 1st & 3rd Orders (m. 1593) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Feb 6. They were martyrs in Japan. Peter Baptist was from the Philippines and won many converts to the faith until the emperor was turned against them and were processed through many towns to be crucified at Nagasaki.
Reflection is on venerating the Holy Cross that was a sign of shame until Christ Our Lord died on one. Since then it is a sign of victory and veneration.
