The Life of St. John Bosco, Confessor, Third Order (1815-1888) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jan 31. John started from his youth in Italy to take care of poor children and started schools to take care of them and started the Salesians to carryout this work. He started houses in Europe and in the Americas.

Reflection is on thinking kindly of others and how St John Bosco used this as the principal for brining about good results with his troubled boys.
This helps in not being harsh with others, seeing mitigating factors in their problematic behavior
Also easier to regard others with esteem.
