The Life of Bl. Helen Enselmini, Virgin, Second Order (1207-1231) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Dec 5. Bl. Helen Enselmini was born in Italy and enter the Poor Clares at an early age. She was of poor health but lived the full rigors of rule and miraculously lived off just the eucharist for many years and had many mystical experiences.

Reflection is on patience of time of Sickness:
offer up sufferings for others, especially those in purgatory
Sickness can be test of virtue and growth
Should use doctors advice not relying on prayer alone.
