Persevere in Prayer, Even in the End Times – Nov 14 – Homily – Fr Terrance

Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Nov 14, 2021, on the end of the world from two different points of view from the Old Testament Jews as accounted by the prophet Dan and then from the point of view of New Testament Christians As accounted in the Gospel of Mark and that we must prepare for the final judgment to avoid the unhappy report that we are condemned to hell.

Notes:

This must be taken seriously even if some very learned people try to tell us that there are very few people who go to hell.

What is predicted about Jerusalem and fulfilled in 70 AD is a foreshadowing of the end of the world.

This gives us the strength to endure our difficulties in our times.

Are we in the end times? No one knows, but keep watch, be ready, persevering, not following into complacency yet not focusing on end times prophecy.

We must focus on correcting our own faults and failing and not worry about end times or the sins of others
