The Life of Bl. Margaret Colonna, Virgin, Second Order (d. 1280) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Nov 9. Bl. Margaret Colonna was born in Rome in 1210 and resisted proposals to marriage to be espoused to Christ. Eventually she other young ladies entered the Poor Clares. She offered great suffering of her bad health in union with Christ's and many miracles were attributed to her.

Reflection is on how suffering is a sign of God's love, that helps us be detached from things of this world and be attached instead to God and things of heaven.
