The Life of Bl. Mathia Nazzarei, Virgin, Second Order (d. 1320) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Nov 10. Bl. Mathia Nazzarei entered religious life against the wishes of her father but then became so progressed spiritually that she was elected abbess. She gave her inheritance to the poor and practiced much prayer and penance. She was given the gifts of prophecy and counsel. Many miracles occurred at her grave.

Reflection is on religious superiors how religious should ask God for guidance in selecting a superior.
Superiors should be obeyed even if they lack some skill or virtue.
Superiors should be respected as representatives of God.
Taking up the cross of Christ is the Way to avoid condemnation.
