The Life of St. Charles Borromeo, Bishop & Cardinal, Third Order (d. 1584) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Nov 4. St. Charles Borromeo was born in Arona, Italy. Was Made a Cardinal quite young and helped bring the Council of Trent to a conclusion and was made Archbishop of Milan to put the Council into effect reforming the diocese and its seminary, faithfully living the Franciscan spirit.
