The Life of S. of God Alexander of Hales, Confessor, First Order (1185-1245) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 27. Alexander of Hales was born in England and was a professor at the University of Paris and laid the foundation for Scholasticism and was the mentor of St. Thomas and St. Bonaventure.
Reflection is on love for Our Lady where Alexander followed in the footsteps of St. Francis.
Love of Mary is manifested in the practice of the virtues and in the promotion of devotion to her.
