The Life of Bl. John Lobedau, Confessor, First Order (d. 1264) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 14. Bl. John Lobedau was a missionary in Prussia who had a special devotion to the Incarnation of Christ and had the gift of many appearances of Our Lady and the child Jesus. He is the patron saint of Prussia.

Reflection is on the suspicion of evil, how it requires prudence and moderation to avoid overreaction.
