The Life of Bl. Francis Cichi of Pesaro, Confessor, Third Order (d. 1350) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 1. Bl. Francis Cichi of Pesaro was born in Italy and gave away his great wealth to become a Franciscan hermit and later started a Franciscan community. He was given the gifts of miracles and contended with the devil.

The reflection is on detaching our hearts from material things.
