The Life of Bl. John Francis Burte & 3 Comp, Martyrs, 1st & 3rd Orders (m. 1792 & 1794) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Sep 2. These Franciscans, John Francis Burte, Appolinaris of Posat, Severin Girault, (m. 1792) and John Baptist Triquerie (m. 1794), refused to give in to the demand of the revolutionary government of France to renounce the faith and allegiance to the Pope and suffered martyrdom.
Reflection is on strengthening our faith. If we do not strengthen it by exercise, then we will lose it especially in our culture that is very much against the faith, and the best exercise is a good prayer life.
