The Life of "Bl." Davanzato of Poggibonzi, Confessor, Third Order (d. 1295) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Aug 30. "Bl." Davanzato of Poggibonzi was a pastor who took care of the poor, did much penance, and practiced great hospitality.
Reflection is on hospitality, which is more pleasing to God than seclusion, but this does not mean overindulgence. We shuold not look for reward in this world but save or reward for the heavely banquet where all are God's guests.
