The Life of "Bl." Gabriel Mary of the Annunciation, Confessor, First Order (d. 1532) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Aug 29. He was born in France, became a Franciscan, had a very strong devotion to Mary, and founded the order of the Annunciation.
Reflection is on lessons to be gleaned from the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception which include that sin is no trifle, and that Mary is near and the guardian of the pure.
