Our Lady of Angels of the Portiuncula is the discussion for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Aug 2. Our Lady of Angels is a chapel that St Francis started to repair after Our Lord asked him to rebuild His Church. In this place, the Franciscans received their first members and continued to grow. St Francis asked the pope for an indulgence for all those who visited, which was given for on Aug 2 only but later extended to every day of the year.

Reflection is on indulgences - by definition removes temporal punishment for sins already forgiven
three requirements are, work of mercy, firm intention of amendment, and then being free of all attachment to sin, recent confession, prayer for the pope. The indulgence can either be partial or full.
