The Life of Bl. Mary Magdalen Martinengo, Virgin, Second Order (1687-1737) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jul 27. Bl. Mary Magdalen Martinengo was born of a prominent family bu]t gave up wealth to join the Poor Clares where she developed a deep devotion to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and became a prudent and kind abbess of her convent.

Reflection is on thanksgiving after holy communion on how Mary Magdalene Martinengo found it hard to even leave the chapel after receiving. We too should take this time to offer our whole selves to Jesus and to petition Him for graces and all our needs
