"The Life of Bl. Kinga (Cunegunda), Virgin, Second Order (1224-1292) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jul 22. Bl. Kinga (Cunegunda) was born in Poland and after a pious youth, married in a fully chaste marriage to the king of Poland. She was fond of the devotion of the Holy Countenance, worked strenuously for her citizens, built convents, promoted causes of saints. and when her husband died, entered the convent that she had built, living as a common sister. She was accused but miracles proved her innocent.
Reflection is on the importance of Virtuous Families, like the patriarchal families of old which were loved by God and the importance of giving a good name, avoiding disgrace, rather strive for virtues including taking care of your family and honoring members who are virtuous.
