"The Life of Bl. Oddino Barrotti, Confessor, Third Order (1324-1400) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jul 20. Bl. Oddino Barrotti was born in Italy and became a priest, joining the third order, he practiced great poverty, giving almost all of his income to the poor and took care of the poor and those stricken by the plague

Reflection is on the three divine virtues, Faith, Hope and Charity that enable us to come to God for eternal blessedness. They are implanted during Baptism but develop over time raising our natural ability to salvific worth. These virtues must be nurtured with good teaching and willing cooperation.
