The Life of Bl. Lawrence of Villamagna, Confessor, First Order (1476-1535) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jun 14. Bl. Lawrence of Villamagna was born in Villamagna, Italy to wealthy parents and decided to enter the Franciscans in Ortona. After some resistance from his father, he went on to be ordained and preached throughout Italy. He was prayerful and penitential and was given the gift of prophecy.

- Fear should be that death catches us unprepared to meet Our Lord
- Sudden death can be a blessing if we are prepared
