St. Lawrence of Brindisi: Here I am Lord! – Jul 21 – Homily – Fr Ignatius

 

Fr Ignatius gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Jul 21, 2020, the feast of St. Lawrence of Brindisi, a Franciscan Doctor of the Church, on how this saint was so very productive while still remaining very humble and this is explained in the responsorial psalm (Psalm 40)  "Here I am Lord I come to do your will" and from Paul 2 Cor 4; 1-2, 5-7 "we hold this treasure in earthen vessels", making himself available to God to do His will, yet recognizing that any good accomplished is by God's strength and not his own.
