The life of Servant of God John Martinez, Confessor, Third Order (1400’s) for the July 5th Franciscan Saint of the Day. After he and his wife realized that they were not going to have children, they decided to adopt the poor as a permanent vocation. They gave much to the poor and built a convent, a hospital, and Church, and he led a life of great austerity and generosity.
Reflection is on how the value of the sacrament of Christian marriage.
