Grasshopper Chapel Pilgrimage – Fr. Elias Mills

Views 983

Ave Maria!

Fr. Elias gives a tour of the Grasshopper Chapel, built to honor Mary, and to pray for her help during the grasshopper/locust plagues of the 1870's. These prayers quickly ended the plagues and they never occurred again. He also tells the life story and sufferings of Sr. Annella Zervas, OSB and the possibilities for her cause for sainthood. Father relates this to the coronavirus and how we should turn to prayer during this difficult time, especially asking help from Mary the Mother of God.

Thank you for making this pilgrimage and sharing this video. I’ve heard and read about The Grasshopper Chapel. Now being able to see it and experience this trip is an extra bonus. I’ve also heard and read about Sister Aanella, but was unable to attend the pilgrimage that a few from
my parish were able to attend. Thank you and God Bless you for sharing.
