Jesus Calming the Storm – Apr 27 – Homily – Fr Ignatius

 

Fr Ignatius gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Apr 27, 2020, when he uses the new "Mass in Time of Pandemic" where the gospel has Jesus sleeping in the boat when a violent storm suddenly overtakes them, which is so comparable to our present times. He preaches that the coronavirus is not the final judgment but is meant to prepare us for it in the sense of a wakeup call to amend our lives, foster a similar process in our society and so be ready for our own death even if this is decades away.
