Listen to the Church and Holy Spirit – Apr 18 – Homily – Fr Terrance

 

Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Apr 18, 2020, on how the three appearances of the Risen Christ in the Gospel Mark. These include at the Tomb to Mary Magdalene, the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus, then to the eleven apostles. Jesus does not appear to everyone but to those he chooses and we need to believe these chosen ones. In other words, the voice of the Church is the voice of God and we need to listen. Further, the lack of faith of the apostles in believing these witnesses shows that we need grace through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in order to live up to what Christ wants from us.
