Therese & David v Herod – Feb 07 – Homily – Fr Terrance

 

Fr Terrance gives the first homily for the Women's Retreat on St Therese and he Little Way at Bloomington, IN on Feb 07, 2020 (about two weeks ago) on how King David and Herod were so different in that one practiced holiness and one vice. David lived a life in search of God and his will and even wrote many of the psalms in the Old Testament scriptures. He relied on God for his strength. Herod Antipas the son of Herod the Great relied on himself. Therese lived her little way, becoming a child of God. This underscores the difference between being self-sufficient and God-sufficient. If we are self-sufficient then we will be God-deficient.
