Happy New Christocentric Year – Dec 31 – Homily – Fr Andre

On New Year’s Eve (Dec 31, 2019, Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas ), Fr. Andre offers a New Year’s spiritual orientation based on the readings of today’s liturgy. Contrasting the first reading with its end-times, antichrist commentary to the Christocentric message of the Gospel, Father recommends meditating on the Good News of Jesus Christ, “God-with-us,” born of the Virgin Mary, while avoiding the satanically-inspired flood of bad news propagated through mainstream and social media.

Participating in the Life that came into the world (cf Jn 1), Father recommends we begin the New Year seeking to align ourselves with the Divine Will, praying for those who will begin the new year by reveling in sin. In particular, we should become intercessors and co-redeemers with Mary, through Rosary prayer and Eucharistic Adoration.

Ave Maria!
