Youth Need “Baptism of Fire,” Adults Need to Give them Whole Gospel – Sep 03 – Homily – Fr Andre

In the homily for the memorial of St. Gregory the Great (Pope, Sept 3, 2019), Fr. Andre offers a catechesis on adult obligations toward youth, especially that of parents and ministers. Primarily they must arm youth with the truth about worthy Communion, received in awareness about the “last things” and the real dangers of sin and sacrilegious Communion—danger to their immortal soul; they must direct them to sacramental Confession, where they will experience the "baptism of fire" in the Holy Spirit, as preparation for receiving Holy Communion. Adults, especially ministers, must also teach youth about the critical importance of walking with Mary, the Mother of God, in their journey toward holiness and eternal life.
