On the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene (Holy Woman, Disciple of Jesus, July 22, 2019), Fr. Alan draws out the lesson from the example of Mary Magdalene at the empty tomb, as related in Pope St. Gregory the Great’s commentary on today’s Gospel. Magdalene displayed the first requisite for holiness: an ardent desire for it.
