Lies Must Topple for Renewal in Truth – Jun 05 – Homily – Fr Matthias
Views 960
On the memorial of St. Boniface (Martyr, Bishop, Religious Missionary, Jun 05, 2019), Fr Matthias gives the homily on how St. Boniface's missionary genius serves as a metaphor for our spiritual and ecclesial life. St. Boniface courageously toppled the pagan idols of those living in darkness, to liberate them from their cults of false religion and superstition.
We who are "consecrated in truth" (cf. Jn 17:19) can sometimes be dominated by lies. It is a great blessing when these lies are brought down, even forcibly. Only then can we experience the fullness of the joy or our Christian consecration.
