Give Witness to Christ on the Cross – Apr 09 – Homily – Fr Alan

 

In the homily for Tuesday of the Fifth Week of Lent (Apr 09), Fr. Alan gives the homily on how we must take Jesus at word: "Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life" (Jn 3:14-15).  "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I AM," (Jn 8:28) but "if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins"(Jn 8:24).

We must look to Christ on the cross, lifted up that we might have eternal life, but we must believe and give witness, that others too might be saved.
