Crisis Leadership Requires Example & Action, Not Just Words – Feb 26 – Homily – Fr Matthias

In the homily for Feb 26 (Tuesday 7th Week of Ordinary Time), Fr. Matthias reflects on the words of the Holy Father at the conclusion of the recent Vatican summit addressing the abuse crisis in the Church. While the Pope's words were encouraging and correct, Father suggests that to restore lost credibility, what is needed at this point is for the Holy Father to address Archbishop Viganò's allegations implicating Pope Francis personally in covering up Theodore McCarrick's history of abuse. Leadership through example and action will prove the sincerity of the strong words which were spoken.
