St. Stephen, Praying for Persecuted Christians – Dec 26 – Homily – Fr Matthias
Views 1155
On the feast of the Protomartyr, St. Stephen (Dec 26), Fr. Matthias reminds us in the homily that not everyone gets to celebrate the birth of Our Savior in the midst of the peace and comforts that we are used to. Today's feast reminds us to be aware, and calls us to pray for persecuted followers of Christ around the world. We can further practice spiritual solidarity with them by embracing whatever sufferings God may permit us to undergo, offering them up for the fortification of our suffering brothers and sisters in Christ.
