Our Lady of Sorrows – Sep 15 – Homily – Fr Ignatius

 

Fr Ignatius gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Sep 15 on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows which we celebrate as a Solemnity here at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center. Fr. Ignatius explains that it was not necessary for Mary to contribute so much in the Incarnation and Redemption but that God willed it this way in order most appropriately undo the work of Satan in which Eve cooperated. Mary Cooperated in a unique way because she is incorporated into Christ in a singular way as His Immaculate Mother, suffering with him at the foot of the Cross for the salvation of souls.
