God is Waiting: Many Invited, Few Respond – Aug 23 – Homily – Fr Maximilian W

Fr Maximilian gives the homily on Aug 23 (St. Rose of Lima, virgin), explaining that God is waiting for us to turn back to him; he invites all to come to the heavenly feast, which requires conversion, but few respond, and consequently, few will be chosen to remain among the blessed. Those who do not turn away from sin, repent, and believe in the Gospel, will not be admitted to the heavenly feast.

Now more than ever, we must convert, pray, and do penance. In response to the crisis of faith and the repeated scandals, many within the Church are calling for acts of reparation and prayer. If we respond to this call, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima, then God will surely bring about the changes we need, and we will surely be saved.
