St. Alphonsus Gave All for the Kingdom – Aug 01 – Homily – Fr Maximilian W

 

In the homily for the memorial of Saint Alphonsus Liguori, Bishop and Doctor of the Church (Aug 1), Fr. Maximilian explains that like the merchant in today's Gospel, St. Alphonsus gave all to obtain the kingdom of heaven, the "pearl of great price." We, too, must recognize that it is our calling to achieve the kingdom of heaven, worth every sacrifice.
