God’s plan for human life centers on marriage and the family. The traditional Catholic doctrines are under attack both from without and from within the Church, a sign of "the decisive battle between the kingdom of Christ and Satan” (Sr. Lúcia of Fatima in a letter to Cardinal Caffarra, 1983).
