For our Spring 2016 Marian Day that has the theme Mary to the Max, Jonathan Fleischmann gives the second and final talk where he tries to answer the question,"How to Love Mary to the Max" where he follows up on his previous talk "Why we should Love Mary to the Max. The best way to love her to the max is to love those whom she loved, especially God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and do so to the max.

He explains based on St. Maximilian that only Mary provides and an adequate love in response to the love of God. Mary is all the love of creation with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. In 1854 Mary says to St. Bernadette Soubirous: "I am the Immaculate Conception." Thus St. Maximilian concludes that Mary is the created Immaculate Conception, and the Holy Spirit, her spouse (St. Francis), is the uncreated Immaculate Conception. They basically share the same name because they are spouses. Thus, along with the fact that she is daughter of the Father and Mother of the Son, she alone of all creatures can love God adequately and this enables us to do so by immersing ourselves in the love of Mary. This creates an upward spiral that helps us to love God and protect us from heresy.

Dr. Fleischmann develops this idea of spousal love to explain how we should love Mary, be united to her and become like her by being consecrated to her. Just like during the consecration at mass the wine and the bread are changed, transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ, so too, according to St. Maximilian's provocative terminology, by being consecrated to Mary we become transubstantiated into her. And thus are able to love God worthily.

Total consecration to Mary requires three things.
