Ave Maria!
This year, 2016, sees the celebration of the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising, when the Irish fought yet again to free the country from British rule. In this programme Fra Solanus looks at the Catholic Faith of the Leaders of the Sinn Fein men. Particular mention is made of the poetry of Padraic Pearse and Joseph Mary Plunkett, and the last letters of Pearse, Michael Mallin and Sean Mac Diarmada. All of the men died heroic, Catholic deaths – as witnessed by the priests, especially the Capuchins, who were with them at the end.
