The theme of the retreat is "Holy Priesthood: Sacrament of Christ's Pastoral Charity." He relates the vocation of priesthood to the mission of Christ in His ministry of salvation. This centers around the Mass which makes present the sacrifice of Calvary. Fulfilling this high calling requires great vigilance and effort, but mostly by asking Our Lord for the grace of ardent pastoral charity which is the measure of a priest's spiritual life.
