Views 1598

Homily #150412b ( 18min) Play - Fr. Joseph on the meaning of this feast of Divine Mercy based on the Gospel reading showing that Jesus' first message to the Apostles is one of mercy and He introduces the sacrament of penance which lends so much mercy to absolve our sins. He outlines the revelations of Jesus to St. Faustina which focuses so much on the mercy of God, who wanted to establish this day as dedicated to His mercy for our modern age. We should respond as follows:

  • Thank God for His Mercy

  • Have Mercy toward others

    • Corporal works of mercy

    • Spiritual works of mercy

  • Accept His grace, repent of sin

  • Trust in Jesus in all things

    • Repeat often, "Jesus I trust in you," especially during difficult moments
