Feb 08 – Homily – Fr Matthias: Bear One Another’s Burdens

Homily #150208n ( 15min) Play - Father Matthias comments on the 2nd reading, and connects it to the words of St. Paul in Galatians 3, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." How does this fulfill the law of Christ? Because it is the practice of an unconditional love for our neighbor, a love which imitates the love of Christ and one which has Him as its source. Also, if we do this, we become more aware of our own faults and sins. Father gives us the teaching and example of St. Therese and St. Francis de Sales, and gives us a few steps which will enable us to live out this admonition.
