Views 1695
Homily #140629n ( 17min) Play - On the Solemnity of St. Peter and Paul, Father Louis Maximilian recounts the trials, efforts and dangers they endured to fulfill Our Lord's command to "preach the Gospel to all people." As a modern example, he presents the successor of St. Peter, Pope St. John Paul II, and reminds us that the Holy Father is the guaranty that the faith we profess is the same St. Peter confessed. Finally, Father reminds us that we all, clergy, religious, and laity, are also missionaries and have been sent. We have wasted time till now, let us start anew, striving so that we may say with St. Paul, "poured out like a libation ... I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith."
