Apr 27 – Homily – Fr Joachim: Sacrament of Love

Homily #140427ns ( 11min) Play - Fr. Joachim shows that in today's gospel, we see the institution of the Sacrament of Love, Confession. God has promised to work through the sacraments, but not necessarily outside of them. In 1675, He complained to St. Margaret Mary, " Behold this Heart, Which has loved men so much, that It has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify to them Its love; and in return I receive from the greater number nothing but ingratitude." He desires us to come to Him and receive His Mercy in the sacraments of Confession and the Eucharist, which are the remedy and cure for sin. He knows our weakness, let us ask Saints Pope John Paul II and John XXIII for the strength to persevere in our faith.
