Apr 20 – Homily – Fr Joachim: Hope and the Empty Tomb
Views 958
Homily #140420n ( 14min) Play - Many fear death in today's world, but, as Father reminds us, we need not fear death, but prepare for it, particularly by preparing for the Judgement we will all undergo after we die. Thankfully, as Father also reminds us, God desires to pour out His mercy on our sinful and broken world, and the primary place we receive this mercy is the confessional! It is there we are cleaned and made ready to meet God. We do have hope, because on Good Friday, it looked like sin and death had won, but on Easter morning, mercy triumphed over sin and the tomb of Jesus was empty.
