Apr 17 – Homily – Fr Angelo: Vine and Branches

Views 1154

Homily #140417n ( 18min) Play - At the opening celebration of the Triduum, the Mass of the Lord's Supper, Father Angelo highlights the importance of not acting like Jesus, but having Jesus living in us. He told the disciples, "I am the Vine, you are the Branches," and if we are not united to Jesus, we are like branches cut off from the vine. We need to be united to Him in the sacraments and by the mediation of the Mediatrix of Grace. Finally, Father reflects on a comment from the Holy Father's sermon this morning reminding us that the priest without Christ is the poorest of all men, and asks us to especially pray for priests this Easter.
